		Epoxy Primer for Smooth Surfaces Prime It! is designed to seal smooth, bare concrete or plaster as an undercoat for Dura Seal. Prime It! is compatible with wet surfaces and helps reduce downtime by letting you clean and prime the pool in one day and apply Dura Seal the next! For bare/unpainted surfaces only. Coverage: 225 sq ft per gallon.

		High-Build Epoxy Primer Rough Prime helps smooth out unusually rough concrete or plaster. It is especially recommended for sandblasted surfaces and has excellent adhesion to fiberglass. Rough Prime’s heavy viscosity acts as a “filler” to give your pool surface a more uniform profile. Used only on bare surfaces as an undercoat for Dura Seal. Coverage: 125 - 150 sq ft per gallon.

Why use a primer?
Because Dura Seal is a superior high-solids epoxy, Smart Seal recommends a primer on bare surfaces prior to application.

Why? A high-solids epoxy may not penetrate a less porous surface, which could result in a weak bond and compromised life. Conversely, an overly porous surface may aggressively soak up vital resin, leaving the cured surface less stable and prone to a shorter life.

Smart Seal primers are designed to penetrate and seal the surface, providing uniformity. With Dura Seal completing the process, you have a new, ceramic-like surface that is cohered to the substrate.

The result? A beautiful finish for up to eight years.
